According to articles in several newspapers including Le Figaro, Dacia Logan sales have surged in February by more than 80%, with a total registered vehicles in 4000. Recall that Renault does not want to sell the new "people's car" in France, and did not expect sales of more than 10,000 vehicles per year.

According to the CCFA (Committee of French Automobile), Renault hopes to sell 750,000 vehicles in its Romanian subsidiary in 2008 and reach 950 000 one million vehicles in 2009, with a margin of 6%. 320 000 cars will be produced in Romania in 2008, and the equivalent of 400 000 to 450 000 vehicles in the form of components will be shipped for assembly in Russia, Colombia, Brazil, Morocco, India, Iran and soon in Africa South.
